Music Therapist


Musical Health Technologies is looking for Contract Music Therapists/Possible Full Time Work


Award winning healthcare technology company looking for seasoned, certified Music Therapist with experience working with individuals over 65+, ideally those with Dementia, COPD, Stroke or TBI. There will be little to no clinical work required, though you will be working with a cross disciplinary team, incorporating your extensive expertise to create and scale technology based therapeutic music solutions to help a variety of populations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 10 years clinical/research experience working with people 65+ around Chronic Respiratory Conditions, Behavioral Health, Dementia, TBI Rehab and Stroke. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (must be able to communicate in a way that is digestible for a variety of audiences including technical and medical professionals, researchers and families/patients) 

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills

  • An interest in using technology to scale ethical and effective therapeutic music to multiple populations

  • Comfortable working in and leading teams in a start-up environment where there is often no established roadmap

  • Experience managing others

Bonus points for experience:

  • Medical coding and reimbursement 

  • In working specifically with vocal process/singing

  • With project management and leading teams

  • In Conducting research 

  • Excellence manipulating Google Docs, Microsoft Suite and Apple mobile hardware

Business Development Director/Consultant — Part-Time


Use your experience in healthcare and business development to bring the benefits of music as medicine into the mainstream. Musical Health Technologies (MHT), an award-winning, innovative healthcare technology start-up focused on music as medicine is seeking a part-time, heavy-hitting, Business Development professional. MHT is located in Los Angeles, California. The position is open to both local and remote candidates and this part-time role has the possibility to grow into a full-time position. 


The successful candidate will work with the CEO and executive team to drive the sales strategy for new accounts as well as prospecting new deals. The role requires a depth of experience in the B2B and channel healthcare sectors working with leading organizations like/including Siemens, Philips and Walgreens. Experience in the payer and provider sectors is a plus. 


The role will include: 

  • Building results-focused relationships with prospective customers 

  • Developing and leading strategy and presentation processes 

  • Negotiating and closing innovative deals

  • Generating activities that result in new client acquisition and brand awareness



  • A minimum of 7 years strategic selling experience 

  • Ability to think, plan and sell strategically

  • Excellent negotiating skills, presentation and communication skills

  • An understanding of the operational and sales sides of healthcare
