VP of Business Development

Position Overview:

As we embark on an exciting journey to transform healthcare through music, Musical Health Technologies is seeking a visionary and dynamic VP of Business Development to lead our strategic expansion into new verticals. This person will work with the CEO and Executive team and be instrumental in shaping the future of our company.  This role will have a significant impact on our mission to promote robust lives for people as they age.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Entry Strategy: Craft and execute strategic market entry plans for various verticals within the healthcare sector 

  • Sales Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the sales cycles, nuances, and decision-making processes within the targeted verticals.

  • Networking and Relationship Building: Leverage a strong rolodex to establish and nurture critical partnerships and collaborations in the healthcare sectors.

  • Start-up Mentality: Embrace a "blank-slate" environment and be as excited to roll up your sleeves and do the initial tactical work as you are in shaping long-term strategies for the business.

  • Operational Leadership: Utilize your 10+ years of leadership experience in Sales and Business Development to drive results and eventually build high-performing teams.

  • Standardization: Rapidly standardize processes and create a blueprint for conquering new markets.

  • Product and Mission Passion: Share our passion for the SingFit mission and be dedicated to the potential of music as medicine in healthcare.

  • Egoless Team Player: Collaborate effectively, communicate transparently, and foster a culture of teamwork and innovation.


  • A depth of experience in some or all of the following healthcare sectors is essential for consideration:  

    • Traditional and/or new breed digital health companies (Philips, Calm, Samsung, Amazon, Google) 

    • Payers including Medicare Advantage Plans (the Blues, Humana), INSPs, Medicaid)

    • Providers (health systems, outpatient clinics)  

    • Retailers (Walgreens, Best Buy, Walmart)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field 

  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles in Sales and Business Development, with a successful track record of expanding into new markets.

  • Extensive network and strong relationships within the healthcare industry, specifically in the mentioned verticals.

  • Proven ability to think strategically, set vision, and execute a business development strategy.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

  • Highly adaptable and capable of working in a dynamic, evolving environment.

  • Flexible thinking that allows new concepts and products to dovetail with existing healthcare workflows

  • Strong operational and organizational skills, with the ability to build and lead teams.

  • A genuine passion for our mission to improve healthcare through therapeutic music.
