Technical FAQ
Go to the Apple Store or Google Play Store on your device and search for SingFit STUDIO in the search bar or click the link in the membersite. Make sure to click on SingFit STUDIO (not SingFit or SingFit PRIME). You may need your Apple Store or Google Play username and password in order to download the app. If you are unable to download the app, contact SingFit support at 323-677-2575 or email us at studio@singfit.com
That’s typical depending on your wifi speed since the song files are large in order to accommodate for the customization of all music tracks (lyric coach, background music, etc). Just make sure you have a strong wifi connection, and give the app plenty of time to download a playlist before starting your first session. It should only take a few minutes to download a playlist, but depending on your wifi speed it can take up to an hour to download a playlist depending on the number of songs.
You need to connect your speaker to your device, adjust the volume on the tablet and then on the speaker. Your speaker should be loud enough for any participant. If using an aux cable, make sure the aux cable is plugged in all the way. (When the aux is inserted halfway into the speaker, there is a lot of static and the songs sound muffled.) If you need a speaker recommendation we’ve found that the Tribit XSound Go Bluetooth Speaker, the OontZ Angle 3 Ultra Waterproof, and JBL flip works well.
SingFit will take up between 5-10 GB of space on your device depending on how many playlists you have downloaded.
Android devices support external memory cards and storage space can easily be increased. However, iOS devices do not support external memory cards and you will need to delete content to free up space.
We will email you the app account information that will include your app username and password after you sign up for an account. The app username and password are different from your SingFit website account. We will create this password for you. If you forget your password you’ll click “forgot my password” when it asks you to login.
iPhone Users: If you downloaded the app onto your iPhone, make sure your iPhone is not on silent mode. Move the switch on the side of the iPhone so the orange isn’t showing.
If the sound is not working one a different device, please make sure your volume on the tablet and your speaker is turned up. Then try turning your tablet / phone off and restarting it before playing a song. If you are still having trouble, you can contact us at 323 677-2575 or email us at studio@singfit.com
If the song keeps pausing, it is likely because your screen is going to sleep / auto-locking. Make sure to change the settings in your phone so it doesn’t automatically go to sleep (change auto-lock in your phone to Never).
No, you are not doing anything wrong. It may take awhile to download the songs. Just make sure you have a strong wifi connection and tap the arrow next to any songs that didn’t download to ensure that all of your songs in a playlist are ready to play!
Make sure the aux cable is plugged in all the way or change to a bluetooth connection! Make sure the guide singer track is set at 6 or higher.
Check that the connection between your tablet and speaker is good and that the auxiliary cord is plugged all the way in. Or connect via bluetooth to ensure that it’s not a faulty auxiliary cord connection.
Check if the odd sound only happens when you are adjusting the volume. If so, you’ve likely maxed out the speaker volume. If this is the case and you still need the volume louder, increase the volume on the tablet. Another possibility is that the speaker has a low battery and is giving a warning beep.
Yes, but we do not recommend downloading more than two playlists at once.
Just like most music players, at the bottom of the song control panel you will find: the Rewind, Play, Stop, Fast forward, Next song, & Continuous play buttons.
If you’ve already logged into the app with the password assigned to you, open the app and click on the 3 lines in the upper right corner. Then click Logout. Click “yes” you really want to log out. Then click on “Forgot Password.” When you do, you will receive an email from us with the instructions to reset your password. For ease, we recommend making your new password the same password you created for the member site.
Our genre playlists include just the biggest hits. If you’d like to explore more songs within a genre, you can also click on “Song Catalog” and use the dark red banner to scroll to the right. These genre playlists include more songs in our app within that genre. Here you will also find Era-Based Playlists. These playlists include songs released during that era.
