Technical FAQ
You need to connect your tablet to your speaker, adjust the volume on the tablet first, and then adjust the volume on the speaker. Your speaker should be loud enough for any patient unless the client is deaf. If using an aux cable, make sure the aux cable is plugged in all the way. (When the aux is inserted halfway into the speaker, there is a lot of static and the songs sound muffled.) If you need a speaker recommendation we’ve found that the Tribit XSound Go Bluetooth Speaker, the OontZ Angle 3 Ultra Waterproof, and JBL flip works well.
That’s typical depending on your wifi speed - don’t fret. Just make sure you have a strong wifi connection, and give the app plenty of time to download the songs before starting your first session. The song files are large to accommodate for all the music tracks.
SingFit will take up between 5-10 GB of space on your device depending on how many playlists you have downloaded.
Android devices support external memory cards and storage space can easily be increased. However, iOS devices do not support external memory cards and you will need to delete content to free up space. You may also purchase an inexpensive Kindle Fire and external memory device if you would like a designated SingFit tablet.
Therapists can take a 1-hour online training course to learn the basics for how to facilitate the SingFit STUDIO Pro Intervention. Optional supplemental courses will follow. The order in which these supplemental courses are released will be determined by the topics that are of most value to speech language pathologists (SLPs) and occupational therapists (OTs). Email us here to make requests.
Currently, this training is not eligible for ASHA or AOTA CEUs.
